About the Maker

My name is Melissa, and I’m the owner and operator of 3 mile lane co. Since I can remember, I always wanted to run my own business. As a kid I was obsessed with toy cash registers, taking people’s fake orders and delivering them a product in return.

I decided that out of high school, I would pursue a degree in business. After teetering between business and art, I finally landed with a Bachelors of Science in Small Business Management and Entrepreneurship. I knew that is where my heart was.

I wanted to incorporate my love for art with my passion for business. So after several trial and error lessons, I have finally landed on something big! Making custom stickers and cups!

I started this business in June, at the height of the first lockdown due to the virus. I went viral on TikTok in July and I’ve been growing ever since. I absolutely love my fellow small business community. I don’t think I’ve ever felt the inclusivity that I’ve felt with “my kind of people” before.

I’ve designed and produced wholesale orders for local businesses, I’ve shipped my designs across the world, and I’ve helped brighten thousands of people’s days! My goal is to send smiles with stickers.

I’m a native Oregonian born and raised in Mac. My husband, Garret, flew out from Kansas to meet me for the first time in 2015 and he never went back. We have a son, Oliver, that just turned 1 year old. I can’t wait to continue living this crazy dream!
