Hands on History

The Yamhill County Historical Society is excited to announce our next Hands on History Event: Bobbin Lace Making with the Portland Lace Society. Saturday, May 31st, 2025, 1 pm-3 pm.

Come and learn the history of lace and make your own lace keychain using antique construction techniques. “This is a unique opportunity to learn a craft from experts,” says Moira Cleary, Exhibits & Education Manager. “Many of us want to pick up new hobbies but lack the guidance and instruction to actually start producing. Consider the Portland Lace Society your creativity coaches. ”

This event is held at the Yamhill Valley Heritage Center, 11275 SW Durham Ln. McMinnville, OR.
