McMinnville Chess Club’s regular events are here! Join us for our next regular meeting at Mac Market on Tuesday, June 13, where we’ll be meeting every 2nd & 4th Tuesday from 5:30 – 8:30pm.

Locally known as the ‘ol’ shoe grease building,’ this 10,000 sqft building began as a manufacturing hub for Huberd’s Shoe Grease in 1929.”

And now it’s home to the McMinnville Chess Club!

We’re meeting upstairs in the Mezzanine, where there are a number of good-sized tables. On evenings that it’s not reserved by other customers, we may use the Ivy Room for future lessons and chess talks.

Space is limited, and the Mezzanine can comfortably fit 6-8 simultaneous games provided members bring enough boards.

Unfortunately the upstairs space is not ADA-accessible, so please contact an organizer in advance of this event so that we can work to accommodate your needs.

WHAT TO BRING
Please bring a chess board and clock (if you have them). Mac Market’s game table has 2 chess boards that are first-come, first-served.

Chess clocks are recommended but not necessary! The “Chess Clock by Chess.com” app is good to use in a pinch: https://www.chess.com/news/view/chess-clock-app-update

Our venue offers several drink and food options, so please make a purchase. Members are asked to enjoy responsibly and to keep open containers away from game boards and equipment.
