Walnut City Music Festival 2023
September 2 - September 3
The Walnut City Music Festival returns for Vol. 9 with 15+ bands playing live at this intimate indie rock experience that’s all about celebrating live music in an approachable and engaging format.
Once again in the back oak grove of the renowned Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum campus, this year we’re offering tent camping for out-of-towners.
Food, drinks and family friendly atmosphere, plus one of the most affordable music festival tix around, make this a wonderful go-to destination for you Labor Day Weekend.
Headlining the Saturday night (9/2) set will be Nashville, Tennessee, rock outfit Tyler Bryant & the Shakedown. They will be joined by two Los Angeles indie rockers: Sego and The Hail Maries. Filling out the day will be Portland groups Falcon Heart and Tito Padrino; Vancouver, Washington-based “urgent folk” band Lincoln’s Beard, and McMinnville-area bands Ships To Roam and Manitoba Road Crew.
Punk blues duo Left Lane Cruiser from Fort Wayne, Indiana will cap off the festival Sunday. Preceding them will be the Jeshua Marshall Trio from Central Oregon; Glitterfox (whose star has been on the rise since being labeled Portland’s Best New Band by Willamette Week); San Francisco trio Thrown-Out Bones; Portland blues rockers The Resolectrics; and McMinnville groups Pale Imitations and Bootleg Jam.
