20 years ago, very few people knew about Tai Chi. It’s very different now: very few have never heard about it or seen it practiced!

What is the reason for this? Well, the reasons are many, but the main one is probably because people are getting results. Real results with movements that they can do even if they have mobility issues or live a mostly sedentary lifestyle.

It could also simply be because it’s enjoyable!

Imagine a room with people moving together and doing slow, graceful movements. Their bodies get stronger and more flexible with the postures. Their balance improves.

Their focus is on the present: on their breath, their alignment, their posture, and for a moment, they forget about the world outside. Their problems, worries, and fears melt away with the constant flow of breath and movement. Their bodies and minds are revitalized.

Now imagine doing this on a regular basis!

No wonder why there are so many studies showing the health benefits of Tai Chi!

Did you know that Qigong, an older form of self-healing movements (although not as well-known as Tai Chi in the West), has similar health benefits to Tai Chi and can be done by almost everyone?
