My daughter and business partner, Olivia, and I took a trip a few years back to France & Greece. Our first stop once we checked into our quaint little 3rd story room with a fabulous view was to walk over to the Eiffel tower and have a crepe. We would spend our days and evenings out seeing the sights and would be heading back to our place late at night…. The only places that were open were crepe stands…. So we would grab a crepe to eat. The host of our airbnb said that french people only eat crepes at special occasions. They do not eat them everyday – that is mostly tourists. Haha! My brother would make a pan of crepes for thanksgiving breakfast and they were so good.
Fast forward a couple years covid was happening, my 15 year old daughter complaining that no one will hire a 15 year old so I thought I would create a job for her! One night I was just searching Facebook marketplace to see what food trucks or carts were available and she asked what I was doing? I said “looking at food carts”. She said are we going to do it? I said go come up with a menu. So that very night we sat down and came up with crepe recipes that mean something to us. I feel like our crepes represent various places we have been in the world so the name Crepe World was born. This was November 2020…… we had our grand opening on July 17, 2021 and we started serving our crepes inside Local Flow February 20, 2023.
