Doulas are professionally trained, non-medical birth workers who offer emotional, physical & educational support to families throughout pregnancy, childbirth and the immediate postpartum.
Yamhill Valley Community Doulas is designed to provide accessible, culturally-matched birth support to families and communities that do not have, or cannot otherwise afford doula services. This model of care is sustained by recruiting, training & mentoring doulas from diverse cultural, linguistic and socio-economic backgrounds.
Additionally, we offer childbirth education and peer support groups. Our Brave Space empowers our community families to learn together while being honest & raw about the ups and downs of parenting.
