Keep It Local Mac has always been a cornerstone for local businesses in Yamhill County, providing a platform to connect, grow, and celebrate our incredible community. Today, as we turn the page to a new chapter, I want to first honor the person who made all of this possible—Leigh Ann Jones.
Honoring Leigh Ann’s Vision
Leigh Ann Jones, Owner of Pacific Frames, founded Keep It Local Mac and Keep It Local Newberg at the start of the pandemic—a time when small businesses needed support more than ever. Her vision and dedication gave local entrepreneurs a platform to share updates, reach new audiences, and keep their businesses afloat during uncertain times.
Beyond the practical support Leigh Ann provided, she brought heart, creativity, and unwavering commitment to uplifting our community. Her hard work laid the foundation for what Keep It Local Mac is today, and I am so grateful for the opportunity to continue the mission she started.
Leigh Ann, thank you for all you’ve done. Your impact will always be a part of Keep It Local Mac, and I promise to honor your legacy as I take the reins.
A Little About Me
My name is Ashley Ackins, and I am thrilled to introduce myself as the new owner of Keep It Local Mac and Keep It Local Newberg. As someone who was born and raised in McMinnville, I feel deeply connected to this community. Growing up in Yamhill County, my mom, Heather Acker, encouraged me to be active in the community.
Whether it was fundraising for my Relay for Life team, volunteering at events and nonprofits, or attending McMinnville Area Chamber of Commerce meetings as a kid, I learned early on the importance of supporting those around you. Those experiences ignited a passion for giving back and helping others grow—a passion I’ve carried into my career.
As the owner of Ackins Media LLC, I’ve had the privilege of helping local businesses grow their social media presence and connect with their audiences. Now, with Keep It Local Mac and Keep It Local Newberg, I’m excited to take that mission even further, supporting more businesses and connecting more people across our amazing community.
