Guest Blog Post by Susan Fehrenbacher, owner of Suzy’s Chocolates

How far along are you with your holiday gift shopping?  Are you one of those people who finishes before Thanksgiving?  Gifts were wrapped and ready to go before the turkey hit the oven, right?  Ha!  You must be joking!!  Do these people even exist?! 😊

Well, now we can firmly say, the holiday shopping season has officially begun!  And I’m ready for you!  As your local artisan chocolatier here in McMinnville, this is one of the busiest, craziest, most exhausting, and fun times of the year.  And, I absolutely love it!

Have you heard of Suzy’s Chocolates?  Maybe you’ve seen me at the farmer’s market in McMinnville or perhaps at a winery event or other pop-up market.  Or possibly on social media (@suzyschocolates on IG / FB).

I make artisan chocolates that are unique, beautiful, and delicious.  I am passionate about my business and love to share my joy with others.

Each of my chocolates are hand-made in small batches in McMinnville.  I use colored cocoa butter in a variety of methods such as airbrushing, splatter painting, hand painting and more to create beautifully shiny designs.  I use very fine chocolate and the best, local ingredients sourced from farms and other small businesses around Yamhill County.  Ingredients such as berries, hazelnuts, wine, honey, lavender, and more are from fellow farmer’s market vendors and other local businesses.

I offer a variety of beautiful gift boxes filled with bon bons, truffles, and caramels that come in sizes of 4-pieces, 5-pieces, 12-pieces and 24-pieces.  I also offer specialty dessert bars such as the Giant Caramel Bar, the Peanut Caramel Dessert Bar, the Fruit & Nut Tablet Bar, and the S’mores Treat.  Everything is hand-made, including for example, the marshmallow and the graham cracker cookies in the S’mores Treat and the caramel within the hand-dipped sea salt caramels.  If you haven’t tried them yet, I can’t wait to wow you.

But it’s not only about the chocolates.  (Yes, those are amazing.)  It’s also about the experience.

I love to help gift givers shine.  It brings me joy knowing that you are bringing such joy to others when you give the gift of Suzy’s Chocolates.  (Oh, and did I mention already… I ship.  Across the US.  Hint hint for those of you looking to send special holiday gifts to a loved one.  Let me help you!)

Also, I love to collaborate with wineries and other local businesses to create a wonderfully unique experience for your guests visiting the Willamette Valley wine country.  I can work with you to help create the perfect wine and chocolate pairings, whether it’s for a plated flight offering on your menu or a special occasion offering, such as for Valentine’s Day or Mother’s Day.  I can even use your wine to create a custom chocolate.

I would also love to join you for on-site pop-up experiences.  If you have a special wine release event or club pick-up party coming up, let’s talk.  Guests love to pick and choose the chocolates of their choice from my display case to go with the wines they are tasting.  They also love to pick out that perfect chocolate gift to take home to their loved ones.

Maybe you have a business where you want to get your brand out in a unique way?  I can add your company logo to the chocolate itself or include your labeling on my packaging.  I’ve helped many corporate customers shine on the day of their big event.  The options are endless!

I’d love to help make your gift giving experience a special one this season and beyond.  Whether you’re looking for a gift for a loved one, a colleague, a guest, or a big event, I’d love to help make the experience magical.

Enjoy the holiday season everyone!  I hope to see you at one of my pop-up events soon!
