In 2004, Dan and Merri Sayers were shopping in a small art supply store in Bend, Oregon and thought ‘We can do this in our hometown!’ Back in McMinnville a short time later, they saw a small storefront for rent on Baker Street and immediately snapped it up. They named the place The Merri Artist. Ten years later, they moved onto 3rd Street and have enjoyed being part of the core downtown community ever since.

Our entire team is made up of artists which allows us to provide each of our customers with a great shopping experience! We love to help someone find just the right color, brush or paper for their project or find a great gift for the artist in their life.
